Cooking has a lot to do with mixtures, both heterogeneous and homogeneous.  So, for this writing assignment: 1.Think about a food that you like to make. 2. Write a recipe for it, complete with step-by-step instructions.  3. Identity a heterogeneous and/or a homogeneous mixture in the dish and explain why it is that type of mixture. 

Short version Let’s talk about mixtures. Matter can be one of two things: a pure substance or a mixture. Pure substances are made of only one thing, like water, salt or gold. Mixtures have two or more pure substances. Some mixtures are heterogeneous. In these, you can see each part, like in salad or paella. Homogeneous mixtures are different, because you cannot see each part. In other words, it is so mixed that it looks like one thing and not a lot of different things. Some examples of these are salt water and Cola Coa. Finally, alloys are mixtures in which at least one part is metal. These can be things like brass, steel and bronze. According to legend, San Isidro made water flow from a well where before there had been no water. For this reason, a chapel was built on that spot in his honor. These days, the people of Madrid go to the park of Saint Isidro to have a party outdoors, complete with traditional dances and costumes. Traditional foods are another big part of Saint Isidro celebrations. Usually, people make rosquillas, which are a kind of Spanish doughnut, and lemonade. As I told you, I tried to record a video making lemonade, but I have to tell you that we could only record the first step: squeezing lemons. Nico was trying to make a tutorial for his friends ;). To follow the recipe, after squeezing all the lemons you have to add sugar, ice cubes and water. Mix them together and you will have a fantastic refreshing lemonade. Remember that you have the whole recipe in the other post. We enjoy our lemonade with some rosquillas, "tontas" and "listas". Do you know the differences between them? Which one do you prefer?

I wish I could celebrate this day with my friends as we usually do..but today we have to be happy and try to do our best with our relatives.
